The live edge wood we use is sanded to a super smooth finish and treated with a Hard Wax Oil called Odie's Oil which in my experience is simply the best finish around - really showing of the natural beaufty of the pieces of wood we use.
Sometimes when the piece of wood isn't quite large enough or has imperfections we use resin to enhance the beauty - I am a huge fan of a matt black finish to the resin, however if you have a project in mind using resin and want to use a different colour, please get in touch for options.
Nature at it's finest, showing how the tree has grown. Stumps are harder and harder to get hold of, so when the appear on here, don't hesitate to snap one up
A cookie is a slice from the round of the tree, so many hours can be spent counting the rings to calculate the age of the piece!! In the drying process, cookies tend to split so you'll often find either some resin or bowties for stability.
Our absolute favourite!! Natural, gnarl and full of character - very rarely available to get our hands on, but when they are, incredibly worth every penny. Keep an eye out to see what we have and what we can transform them into.
Wood as a material has all sorts of natural characteristics, which we love and certainly try to exploit in our selection of timber. All our pieces are sanded to a smooth finish to create beautiful furniture for your home, however it's important to note that you will still find lots of character such as marks and dents, knots, deep grain patterns, occasional deep cuts/saw blade marks and nail holes.
As a living material, wood can still move even once transformed into a piece of furniture. Throughout the seasons when moisture levels may change in your home the wood can contract and expand so you may find slight gaps appear between planks, this is completely normal is just the wood adjusting to its new surroundings.

The wax finish we use is hard wearing, and will last a long time. We do suggested you don't use any harsh chemicals when cleaning, a simple wipe down with a damp cloth should suffice. A quick application of clear wax every year (or when you feel the table needs it) will keep the table looking like new.

All the metal work is powder coated so will just need dusting - a damp cloth works wonders for this. We powder coat our metal work as it is a much harder finish than just spraying the metal.
